Planning Engineer

 Position Title: Planning Engineer 

Creative Engineering Consultants (CEC), Pakistan, are looking for young and talented individuals to join our team in the following areas. The positions will be based at our NHA project N55 Shikarpur to Rajanpur site office. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers providing a professional design service to our clients, this is an ideal opportunity for individuals looking to develop their experience with a renowned consultant.



Experience: Minimum Eight (08) years experience in planning and management of construction supervision on projects of highways/ bridges. Hands-on experience in using the latest versions of MS Project/ Primavera on one or more projects.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering - preferably master's in engineering with specialization in Construction Management or equivalent.

Job Requirements:

Generally, the role of the Planning Engineer will be to control project progress, physical, financial, and resources e.g. manpower, material, and equipment. More specifically the Planning Engineer is required to do but not limited to the following:-

·       Prepare and update the project schedule based on the contract, Set work program and target milestones for each phase based on the project plan, Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule, and advise project management.

·       Prepare and submit an updated work program and cash flow curve showing actual progress. Identify weaknesses and establish means and methods for recovery, if any, as well as new critical activities.

·       Monitor day-to-day work progress and prepare the weekly and monthly program and report.

·       Maintain and record updates of site work progress obtained from Site supervision staff.

·       Prepare monthly report reflecting work progress summary.

·       Report to the Team Leader about the current work progress and make the comparison between the planned and actual progress and study the impact of alternative approaches to work.

·       Participate in project meetings and discussions with the Client as required, assist in preparing work program, cash flow, and manpower histogram for contract(s).

·       Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned occasionally.

·       Shall train the site supervision staff (Resident Engineer or other appropriate) and NHA's staff for continuous monitoring of contracts by using the latest version of Primavera.
